The Scala dei Turchi is a stretch of coastline near Realmonte (not far from Agrigento). It is made of white marl and features natural sloping steps eroded by the wind that descend to the level of the sea. The reflections of sunlight and the sea create evocative colours that render the landscape unique: golden yellow at sunrise, blue during the day, bright red at sunset.
